Sandhya Sahoo

Dr. Sandhya Rani Sahoo is a Reader in English in NCERT. Currently she is teaching English language and literature at Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar.

Dr. Sahoo has developed textbooks and supplementary readers in English for various stages of school education. She has published a number of research papers related to bilingual education, computer-assisted language learning, English language teaching, theatre in education, curriculum books and textbooks. As an active member of NCERT, she has participated in the development and finalization of National Curriculum Framework and the position paper on teaching of English. She has also translated some Oriya stories into English. Dr. Sahoo has presented papers in many national and international seminars. She has also edited many textbooks and supplementary materials published by the NCERT.
