Pramod Kumar Singh teaches English at S.P. Jain College, Sasaram (Bihar). He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1986 from Magadh University, Bodh Gaya. At present he is working for his D.Litt. on contemporary trends in Indian Fiction in English.
He has contributed a number of papers to literary journals and has edited The Literary Mirror, a bi-annual journal exclusively devoted to creative writing, research and criticism. His books, The Novels of R.K. Narayan : A Critical Study, 3000 Uncommon Idioms and Phrases and Improve Word Power, have earned widespread acclaims for him. His books on Salman Rushdie and Major Indo-English Novelists and Novels are under print.
