Reconceiving Postcolonialism: Visions and Revisions

Exploring the postcolonial terrain where ‘dislocation and relocation intertwine, where hope and disillusionment converge, where violence erupts and the human spirit prevails,’ Reconceiving Postcolonialism: Visions and Revisions aims at expanding the canon of Postcolonial Literature.
The book draws from the immense wealth of postcolonial writing and provides new perspectives on a wide range of writers as well as on the pertinent issues in the field of postcolonial writing and theory. Analyzing the major paradigms of postcolonial critique, the anthology deals with the emergent issues related to the engagements of postcolonial societies in a ‘glocal’ age. The critical engagement opens up the possibility to reimagine the postcolonial mystique and makes a significant contribution to our understanding of postcolonial theory and its engagement with significant changes within the contemporary world. Equally suitable for students, researchers and teachers of English literature, this collection provides an in-depth introduction to debates within postcolonial theory and criticism.
